Matt Miller is a native of the outskirts of Knoxville, TN. He grew up traveling to the Low Country multiple times a year as his father is a South Carolina native and would visit family between Hilton Head and Columbia. Having fallen in love with the Beaufort area he determined that is where he would raise his family. His mixed professional background lends itself to a highly technical understanding of project management and customer service. Most recently, Matt used his skills in the nuclear industry in both environmental management and weapons production. Before that, he worked in major manufacturing and commercial construction supporting organizations in scientific, automotive and agricultural equipment manufacturing. He holds a manufacturing engineering degree from Western Illinois University. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children.

Stephanie Miller is the new co-owner of Southern Sentry. She was born in Washington State and moved to Tennessee for her career in Sales and Marketing supporting nuclear waste management. This is where she met her husband, Matt. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University that she earned while working full time and traveling the country for her role as the Sales and Marketing Manager. After getting married, Stephanie and Matt moved back to Washington state where she put her professional career on hold to raise their children. She kept her professional muscles flexed leading the family’s property management company while also balancing motherhood. Her passion for business and wanting to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit in her kids is what drives her efforts to lead Southern Sentry as one of the best service organizations in the Low Country.

Hannah Straut has been with Southern Sentry for four years. She started as bookkeeper and has recently been promoted to Office Manager where she expertly maintains the daily operations of the business. Hannah was born and raised in Beaufort and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan College. She enjoys client-facing interactions, utilizing critical thinking to solve problems and address inquiries promptly. When Hannah is off work, you can find her on the Pickleball court.

Anthony Ingram has been Southern Sentry’s integration technician for three years. He is a native of Beaufort, SC and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He enjoys tackling new challenges and having fun with all the exciting and interesting security, life safety and home automation products. His technical understanding and excellent customer service skills provides clients with assurance that their systems are usable and reliable. When he is not working, he spends his time with his family and playing video games.
